Technology
2025
- Currently there are about 2 planes a day that have issues with items starting on fire. As we all carry technology with batteries. I think airplanes need to start adding burn boxes, that if item/items start smoking or are on fire they can throw it in the box to snuff out the danger. Or atleast not have the smoke continue to fill the cabin space.
2024
- Fire suppression for electric vehicles (lithium batteries) as currently there is nothing that can stop the chemical reactio, so the fire has to burn itself out.
- Samsung alarms - it's nice that they give you an option when you turn off an alarm over the weekend to start up again automatically at the time if turning off the alar.. A better enhancement would be if you could select the day/date to turn back on.
2023
- Technology need to help those to gain insight into an unknown world. I've seen amazing technology that can turn plant energy into music. I've seen that if a connection is made between two individuals it can play music. I'm curious if that technology can be tested and adapted to "hear" changes within the body (pregnancy, cancer, infections, healing, etc), basically as they happen.
- Thoughts on Natural Disasters, since they will become more frequent and stronger here are some thoughts
- In Aug/Sept 2021 there's been hurricanes/floods/landslides/fires a plenty world-wide. What's saddening to see are the lines of garbage that isn't salvageable. Also, instead of reversing the great garbage patch in the Ocean, 21st century living keeps adding to it and runoff keeps making it worse. I'm wondering if a moveable incinerator can be created to remove rubbish from after those disasters. Ideally to have it as a fully enclosed system to burn clean, as to not keep adding to our problem. It would be great if the energy created from burning could be used to help charge devices/shelters to keep people safe, and/or help provide other resources needed (heat for cold weather climate disasters). It was so hard to see those struggling with COVID, have a hurricane hit (their new infrastructure that was built to stand strong storms fail), be flooded out, and to then only have a heat wave to follow after.
- It would be awesome if it could also be coupled with devices to help clean water. Because as they say "water, water, everywhere but not a drop to drink". So the incinerator to help with providing energy (until we are able to provide technology of "free energy") to clean the flood waters (or any other water available).
- It's likely you can count on one hand the amount of times the U.S. Federal government has taken proactive step is helping solve/prevent a problem. The main issue now in 2021 is that our future is here but we're not ready.
- Government
- I would drastically like to change how laws are voted & amended. First I want to see blind voting, no one knows how anyone else has voted, until voting for the entire bill is complete (including the full budget)
- I'm sure they can find a secure way to have people vote when they are not on premise, but then again this might just encourage more inappropriate use of campaigning on work time.
- Climate change is here and we're really starting to feel the impact. As the ocean continues to take in carbon dioxide & heat if we don't address major issues we might have to use the technology being built on how to live on Mars. As we're seeing more extreme weather patterns and they are only getting for more frequent & getting much stronger. There's not going to be enough resources to go around.
- So many issues fall into this category, as the world becomes more populous, and there not enough drinkable ground water, as too many countries have dried up their aquafers and we're not ready to desalinate the ocean we're not going to have enough water. Not enough water for plants, so we're going to start running out of food supplies
- We need to advance lower level countries to more first world, but then come up with better solutions for trash/recycling & energy! I loved seeing the ingenious turning human excrement into clean burning coal for kitchen stoves (yes, I know sounds gross, but's it amazingly clever and using resources wisely...I know other places turn excrement biproducts into fertilizer but just think, renewable energy that's never in short supply)
- What's frustrating is big business has much to do with why we are here, but they're going to push the costs on the consumers because they pay lots of money for lobbists / congressman & congresswomen to get them out of it. We need more responsibility being pushed on the original abuser, not the end user that not only has to deal with the trash but also the climate impact. We need all working together, as if everyone works & contributes versus trying to find the best way to make the most money, we might have a change
- Thoughts during the world pandemic of 2020...
- I'm curious to see if we can come up with a household, hand held device that could detect live and dangerous viruses. I know the COVID-19, was new and something we really haven't seen before. But once it was identified and DNA sequenced it would have been amazing to scan and see instant results. Where to clean or avoid or secluded. I think this could be very helpful in the future...well and now too until we can potentially come up with the universal flu shot and other vaccines. Don't know if it could be light spectrum based, heat or other unknown identifiable quality I'm not aware. 2021 they are starting to roll out some of these devises to help identify what you have, at home. They are also coming up with combined vaccines that would be flu & COVID in one! I'm still hoping they roll out the universal flu shot, knowing that people will be OK with more than one "booster" shot in quick succession...here's to hoping for more continued process
- Not sure if we could come up with and maintain a mostly robotic system for diagnostics. Where one could drive up to or walk through. Or if one could be scanned from a distance and be directed one way, for let's say an infectious disease and then another could be scan and sent a different way for a broken toe.
- I'm wondering if we could use a thermal camera to detect early onset changes to know if one has Corona virus. These devices rolled into action late 2020, but brought up controversy as to rights of if it's used for employees, customers, etc. But just think, if the first person didn't go out when we could possibly know they were sick, they wouldn't pass it on to others. Instead of being reactive be more proactive. It would also be more helpful if companies were better with offer those lower level positions more sick leave, so they don't have to feel obligated to come in sick (as they wouldn't be able to pay their bills otherwise). What's sad is we know people will take advantage, but I'm just hoping one day we can all come together, not just as a neighborhood, city, state, country but as the world. I know it would probably be helpful to have a base scan a couple times to know what the actual base is....just think futuristically with me for a moment if you could have your scan known but then for flying they could scan at the airport to know if you are OK to fly, so as to not infected everyone on the plane. Then to feel comfort that a sneeze would probably just be allergies. They could maybe use this for other diseases/issues depending on what temperature changes are where (cancer, flu, cold, pulled muscle....the list could've endless depending on results from testing)
- In Jan/Feb 2020, I saw an article about a company trying to come up with a COVID-19 vaccine and they were using sugar as a binder, but were finding that it would break up the vaccine. So next they thought of using salt on masks to see if it would break up the virus, it seemed promising within a very short amount of time. If true, I'm curious to know if we could gargle/swish salt water to kill viruses in our saliva and/or at the back of our throat, to possibly help hinder the spread through respiratory droplets....not sure if anyone is testing this theory....
2017
- Car advances - I think it would be great to advance cars into the next level. What I'm thinking is to have the capabilities to use bio-metrics to open and start vehicles. So the remote start button, could actually be a scanner that you could allow certain individuals to use the car. Other features that would be very helpful to start incorporating is GPS tracking, I know you can add after market, but it would be nice to have more "hack-proof"...if possible. This could also spell trouble for individuals to use inappropriately (stalking or using after sale), so some additional thought/planning would need to be involved.
- Steppers - what's interesting is most of the trackers are for the wrist or ones that attach to your belt. What's interesting is that they didn't make one as an anklet. It seems to be becoming more of a trend to always have a wrist stepper on, but it would be nice if there was an ankle option so you can still count your steps without being as pronounced.
- Bluetooth/smart technology for a sensor light (like garage door openers, next thermostats, etc). Be able to set when turns on/off, by time of day (dusk/dawn), season, distance to illuminate light brighter when someone walks by. I know there are some new LED lights that can turn off & on via smart phone, but it would be great to have extra features/options.
- It would be great if there could be a handheld device that could indicate if food is spoiled or if it would be still safe to eat. We throw out so much food, it would be awesome if we could come up with a device that could also let us know how much longer the food would be good for, to get more accurate expiration dates. It's also challenging because some food now a days doesn't look spoiled anymore (meat can stay looking pink even though it is no longer safe to eat). This could help not only consumers, but also grocery stores.
- As virtual doctor offices are just starting to make it more main steam, it would be great if there could be a kit that consumers could have at home to help with the diagnosis. For instances, have it where you could have blood pressure cuffs, thermometers, stethoscopes, and other medical measurement devices that could then be hooked up to the computer via USB to then send measurements to the virtual doctor to help with the diagnosis. This technology could also be used at the actual doctor offices so then they don't have to manually enter the readings from their devices.
- Hotel Tablet/App: It would be neat if there was a tablet in the room (possibly hardwired due to hacking) to have the functions of a front desk. One simple feature could be to connect directly to the front desk. The other idea would be to have it where one could order room service, order movies/shows, request a wake-up call, and request other items (more blankets, pillows, beds, cribs, etc). If the line could be secured it would be nice to be able to pay when ordered or have the option to add to the bill.
- Upgraded maps/travel app: It would be awesome if there was an upgrade to the map app that would not only show places in the area but would be able to have lists/features to choose from. So if someone is traveling to an area (especially another country!) they could have everything at their finger tips (it would be great to have a website & an app so if you're on the go you can see what's around):Update: I found a few apps-City Maps and Field Trip. I really like the City Maps as you can download the maps and use it offline, so you don't have to waste data! Field trip runs in the background and pops ups a card with details about the location.
